An artist
Jennifer Griffin is a multi-faceted artist with a focus on creating pieces depicting the feminine form. Her works initially hand drawn, then rendered in ink, have progressed over the years to being created on the computer; her favourite tool. Along with a paintbrush and pencil, Jennifer’s graphic design background allowed the marriage of the art forms to manifest in her work.
Her signature style consists of what she calls “Blended Womyn”. Female shapes that carry a theme of connectedness. Her use of continuous bold lines represent a "single thread, a commonality that binds us to one another." The images overlap and are often open and blend in with the background. Her use of earth tones and warm colours convey a sense of calm and relaxation.
Jennifer's range of self expression extends from pencil, to pen, to paintbrush, to camera and to computer. The symbiosis of these various media is beautifully represented in her creations.

Journey Creative Design Studio ("JCDS") is a Chicago, Illinois-based multi-disciplinary studio specializing in graphic design, illustration and photography. With a BFA in graphic design from Iowa State University, and 10 years of design experience under her belt, founder Jennifer Griffin forged out on her own and started the one-woman design business Journey Creative Design Studio in 2002. Journey Creative draws inspiration from the process of creating effective communication design not just the final piece. The end result IS very important. “That’s why I love art; that instant gratification of having your work visualized right in front of you. But you mustn’t forget what it took to get there.” says Griffin. Many think that creatives just pull ideas outta thin air and “Eureka! It’s art”. There is a course. A journey that you must take to get there. And the act of designing is where all of the magic takes place. Creative enthusiasm with a focus of providing quality design, along with personal service is what makes up the core of the Studio.
