Hard Candy Calendar Featured On: The Definition
 

This is Hard Candy, a labor of love produced completely by self-proclaimed lover of all (or many) things butch - perhaps including the Definition(??).  It features images of "dominant-women," better known in the community as a variety of names, STUD, BUTCH, DOM, AG - I just call all yall MiLs (Masculine Identified Lesbians).
 

Jennifer Griffin, a visual artist based out of Chicago, Illinois, is the wonder woman who put it together "to create a highly visible medium for the community; decrease external homophobia by generating maximum media coverage to the reality of these women; and diminish internal homophobia by presenting individual role models."  And we are grateful Jennifer, truely.  Far be it for me to judge the efforts of those who have tried to give some positive visibility to our community's folks - but I have yet to see it done well, until now.
